Job summary

Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, NE is seeking a Part Time Surgical Technologist to support intraoperative nursing care in the Labor and Delivery department. You will perform scrub duties and assist physicians and staff to promote efficient OR operations.

Qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent, graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent scrub experience, and BLS certification from an AHA-endorsed program. Spanish bilingual skills are a plus in some areas.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology certification program OR equivalent training/scrub experience with an accredited institution required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association endorsed program required upon unit orientation.
• Spanish language ability may be preferred in some clinical areas.

Responsibilities

• Support the intraoperative nursing care of patients by performing scrub and related duties.
• Promote efficient operation of the surgery center and provide assistance to physicians and support staff in the Labor and Delivery department.

Skills

Prior experience as a surgical technot

Knowledge of surgical instruments

English/Spanish bilingual (preferred)

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Surgical technology certification program graduate / scrub training

BLS certification from an AHA-endorsed program
