Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Labor and Delivery department on the first shift. The part-time role supports intraoperative nursing care, performs scrub duties, and assists physicians and staff to keep the operating room running smoothly.
Required: high school diploma or equivalent, graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent scrub training, and AHA-endorsed BLS. Prior experience is preferred.

Support the intraoperative nursing care of patients by performing scrub and related duties according to standards and policies. Promote efficient operation of the surgery center and provide assistance to physicians and support staff in the Labor and Delivery department.
Work Schedule: Part Time - 12 hour shift Working one 12 hour day shift per week, Monday - Sunday, 7:00am - 7:00pm.

High school education or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited surgical technology certification program OR equivalent training/scrub experience with an accredited institution required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (BLS with skills assessment or approved BLS) upon completion of unit orientation required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).
Prior experience as a surgical technologist or assistant preferred. Knowledge of various surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies/materials, all patient care equipment and supplies, policy, procedure, and protocol manuals, audio-visual, video, and microscopic equipment, computers, telecommunication equipment, and wall/ceiling and tanked medical gases preferred. For some clinical areas, the ability to speak, read, and write in English and Spanish may be preferred.
