Job summary

OrthoNebraska seeks a Surgical Technologist (Part-Time, 10 hrs) in Omaha, NE. The role supports sterile field maintenance and assists during orthopedic procedures, requiring a Surgical Technician program graduate and BLS certification within 90 days. Prior surgical experience is preferred; strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Hours are Mon–Fri with flexible shifts between early morning to early evening. Candidates must pass background checks and pre-employment requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician Program or previous on the job training in surgical technology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
• 1+ year of surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile field during surgical procedure through aseptic technique.
• Performs scrub duties in an accurate, concise and timely manner.
• Demonstrates adaptability by scrub duties for orthopedic procedures and prepares supplies/equipment.
• Uses communication skills to promote teamwork and support the surgeon.
• Follows safety and regulatory requirements such as OSHA and Joint Commission.
