Job summary

Nebraska Medicine Bellevue Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist for first shift. You will prepare the operating room, maintain sterile instruments, and support the surgical team before, during, and after procedures.

This part-time role includes 11:00am–7:30pm with weeknights and weekend on-call, requiring a strong commitment to patient safety and teamwork. Educational support is available, including up to $5,000/year tuition assistance and a 35% Clarkson College discount, as part of

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Surgical technologist certification required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program OR equivalent training/scrub experience with an accredited institution required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (BLS with skills assessment or approved BLS) upon completion of unit orientation required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room and ensures sterile instruments and supplies are available and properly arranged.
• Maintains a sterile environment throughout procedures and anticipates the needs of the surgical team.
• Supports safe and efficient patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Education

High school education or equivalent

Surgical technologist certification
