Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a skilled surgical tech to perform scrub duties in Labor & Delivery. The role blends nursing assistant and unit secretary tasks, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, serving adult and neonatal patients.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Certified Surgical Tech is required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Satisfactory completion of a nursing assistant course is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Functions as scrub person in Labor & Delivery operating rooms and assists RN as directed.
• Sets up cases with instrumentation and supplies; scrubs per OR protocols.
• Maintains aseptic technique and safety in the L&D suite and unit.
• Provides general unit assistant duties and supports obstetrical services.
