Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent with surgical technologist certification.
• Licenses: BLS Certification required upon hire.
• Experience: Knowledge of sterile technique and OR prep preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the RN circulator in preparing the operating room and maintaining a sterile field.
• Inspect and open surgical supplies and equipment as needed.
• Perform surgical hand scrubs and gown self and others, ensuring asepsis.
• Pass instruments, anticipate surgeon needs, and ensure patient safety during procedures.
• Support turnover and assist with preoperative tasks as assigned.
