Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is recruiting a Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery on a full-time night shift. The role requires completion of an accredited nursing program and active Texas nursing licensure with English proficiency.

BLS is required, and ACLS/NRP/AWHONN fetal monitoring training is expected. Experience in high-risk labor and delivery is preferred, with BSN or specialty certifications valued.

Qualifications

• Texas nursing license (or compact) current (NLC/BNE).
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• ACLS, NRP and AWHONN fetal monitoring training required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive nursing assessments across age groups.
• Develop and communicate an integrated plan of care with the patient and family.
• Implement nursing interventions and coordinate with the health care team.
• Identify changes in condition, report findings, and adjust care promptly.
• Document interventions and modify the plan of care as needed.
• Uphold hospital policies and ANA standards in daily practice.
