Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking an RN for Labor and Delivery Nights. The role provides specialized nursing care for high-risk obstetric patients under physician and leadership supervision, with emphasis on safety, education, and teamwork.

This full-time night shift requires 1 year of related RN experience, Texas license (or compact), and CPR/BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN fetal monitoring certification. Education reimbursement and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience in High Risk Labor and Delivery.
• Must read, write, and communicate in English.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program with Texas licensure or compact state.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents physical, psychosocial, and emotional assessments.
• Develops and updates the plan of care with the health care team.
• Prioritizes nursing interventions and notifies changes in condition promptly.
• Educates patients and families and documents discharge plan of care.
• Adheres to hospital nursing policies and safety standards.
• Contributes to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
