Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to work under the supervision of a surgeon and a registered nurse to facilitate safe, effective invasive procedures. You will help maintain a sterile environment, ensure equipment functions properly, and support the team to maximize patient safety.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED; graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or military training (68D).

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED is required. Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology program or Military Training Equivalent (68D – Operating Room Specialist). Online Surgical Tech program credits not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operating room under supervision of a surgeon and registered nurse to ensure sterile technique and patient safety.
• Maintain sterile environment and ensure that equipment functions properly during invasive procedures.
