Job summary

UCF Lake Nona Hospital in Orlando seeks a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to provide compassionate obstetric care in a patient-centered model. You will perform clinical assessments and autonomously manage treatments, joining a collaborative team dedicated to high-quality care.

The role requires Florida RN licensure, 1+ year acute care experience, and a BSN or higher preferred. Additional certifications must be obtained within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license required; compact license may need Florida licensure within 60 days.
• 1+ years RN experience in acute care preferred.
• RN Diploma or Associate Degree; BSN preferred.
• ACLS required within 6 months; NIH Stroke Scale and BCLS Instructor within 30 days; Neonate Resuscitate within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis or issues.
• Evaluate obstetrical patient for conditions affecting mother or fetus.
• Participate in routine deliveries as well as planned or emergent Cesarean sections.
• Advocate for patient safety and ensure proper use of time, supplies, and equipment.
• Educate patients and families about medications, procedures and treatments.
