Job summary

HCA Florida UCF Lake Nona Hospital is seeking a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join our obstetric team in sunny Orlando. You will perform clinical assessments, participate in routine deliveries and Cesarean sections, and advocate for patient safety in a patient-centered care model.

The role requires Florida RN licensure (compact license holders have 60 days to convert), 1+ year acute care RN experience preferred, and credentials such as NIH Stroke Scale, BCLS, ACLS, and Neonatal

Qualifications

• Florida RN license required; compact license holders have 60 days to obtain Florida license after relocation.
• RN Diploma, Associate Degree or BSN preferred.
• NICU/Obstetrics clinical experience desirable.
• Must obtain NIH Stroke Scale within 30 days of employment.
• BCLS and ACLS provider credentials required/obtainable within stated timelines.
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Analyze assessment data to determine the diagnosis or issues.
• Evaluate obstetrical patient for situations affecting mother/fetus wellbeing.
• Participate in routine delivery as well as planned or emergent Cesarean sections.
• Act as an advocate for patient safety.
• Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies, and equipment.
• Educate patients regarding medications, procedures and treatments, and provide family support.
