Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor & Delivery to join a caring team delivering high-quality maternal care. The unit follows AWHONN staffing guidelines to maintain 1:1 active labor ratios and to ensure patient safety across all stages of birth.

Requires NC RN licensure with BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP; 2+ years in Labor & Delivery; LDRP experience preferred; Mother/Baby training is a plus. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities provided.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact license.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and FHN-AWHONN required.
• 2+ years of Labor & Delivery experience required.
• 3–5 years of LDRP experience preferred.
• Mother/Baby training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely documentation of medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
