Job summary

TriHealth Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery, OH is seeking a Labor & Delivery Nurse to deliver hands-on, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-impact setting. You will monitor maternal and fetal well-being, support labor and birth, and collaborate with physicians, midwives and neonatal teams.

Night shifts 7pm–7:30am with weekend and holiday rotations; requires ADN or Diploma with RN license, BLS/CPR, and a plan to obtain BSN within five years.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
• New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing.
• Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs across the life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessment of patient and family.
• Plans care for patient and family based on assessment and standards of care; develop discharge plans.
• Trains/educates other staff and acts as an expert resource in specialty area.
• Provides safe, therapeutic environment and communicates physician orders.
• Performs medication administration and monitors effects.
• Collaborates with physicians, midwives, and neonatal teams to ensure safe birth experiences.
