Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Frisco, TX is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery to provide compassionate, patient-centered care using the nursing process. The role requires an ADN or Nursing Diploma; BSN is preferred, with 1 year of L&D RN experience or completion of an RN residency.

BCLS, NRP, ACLS, IFM, NRPA, and CPI certifications are required within specified timelines. You will deliver focused, family-centered care and collaborate with a supportive team across shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have an ADN or Nursing Diploma; BSN preferred.
• 1 year of RN experience in labor and delivery or completion of RN residency.
• RN license required at hire.
• BCLS certification required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• NRP certification within 90 days; ACLS within 90 days; IFM within 6 months; NRPA within 90 days; CPI training maintained annually.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to patients using the Nursing Process.
• Assess patients and plan individualized care.
• Intervene and implement care plans as needed.
• Evaluate effectiveness of interventions and adjust as required.
• Incorporate age-specific safety and infection control in patient care.
• Facilitate information sharing with patients and families.
• Maintain continuity of care across shifts and when transferring patients.
