Job summary

Methodist Health Dallas Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide Labor and Delivery care on a PRN Tier 2 schedule. You will perform nursing assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, and collaborate with the obstetric team to support patient and family.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, current BLS, Texas nursing license, and at least 1 year of L&D RN experience. PRN shifts vary; work hours include night and day rotations as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Texas licensed or eligibility to practice nursing in Texas

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment using communication, interpersonal relationships and teamwork
• Assumes responsibility for nursing components of patient/family education
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment and ensures accurate, timely written communication of patient information
• Administers medications and IVs safely and timely
• Participates in professional growth and development and uses the nursing process to ensure quality patient care during the episode of care
