Job summary

Texas Health Dallas is seeking a Part Time Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery for night shifts (7:00pm–7:00am) with rotating weekends. The role requires an RN with 1 year L&D experience and current certifications, delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, high-volume unit.

Qualifications

Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Nursing Diploma required.
BSN preferred.
1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting or completion of an RN residency program (Required).
At least 1 year of RN L&D experience (Strongly Preferred).
RN – Registered Nurse (Required upon hire).
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required prior to providing independent patient care; maintained quarterly).
NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Essential) (Required within 90 days of hire).
NRPA – Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Required within 90 days of hire).
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required within 90 days of hire).
CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (Required within 90 days of hire; maintained annually).
IFM – Intermediate Fetal Monitoring.

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
Assesses the patient.
Plans the care of the patient.
Intervenes as appropriate.
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
