HCA Healthcare, Inc. in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team. You will provide intra-operative care and patient advocacy, communicating with physicians and maintaining accurate charts in a high-paced environment.

The role requires Nevada RN licensure, BLS, ACLS/NRP/S.T.A.B.L.E. within designated timelines, and 1+ year of L&D experience. Join a hospital that emphasizes patient outcomes and professional nursing development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
• Current license to practice as a registered Nurse in the State of Nevada.
• Current BLS required.
• ACLS certification required within six (6) months of Hire/Transfer.
• NRP required within three (3) months of Hire/Transfer.
• S.T.A.B.L.E. current certification must be obtained within 6 months of Hire/Transfer.
• AWHONN Fetal monitoring validation.
• Minimum of 1-year recent labor and delivery nursing experience in a comparable unit.
• Proficiency in surgical suite nursing procedures and skills strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical condition.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure.
• Perform general nursing duties in all Maternal Child Health departments with adequate supervision.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
• Act as the patient’s advocate, as circumstances require.
