Qualifications

• Valid RN license with current BLS and NRP certifications.
• Hospital-based labor and delivery experience is required.
• Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or Cerner).
• Knowledge of obstetric protocols and fetal monitoring techniques.

Responsibilities

• Monitor maternal vitals, fetal heart rates, and labor progress.
• Administer medications per physician orders including pain management.
• Assist with labor induction and use sterile techniques as needed.
• Perform neonatal resuscitation following protocols to stabilize newborns.
• Educate families on labor, postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Document accurately in EHR systems and collaborate with care teams.
• Maintain infection control practices and contribute to quality initiatives.
