Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice (Required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (Required).

Responsibilities

• Monitors maternal vital signs and fetal heart rate patterns during labor.
• Administers medications per physician orders, including oxytocin and analgesia.
• Assists with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
• Performs immediate newborn assessment and care after delivery.
• Educates patients and families on labor progress, pain management, and postpartum recovery.
• Recognizes obstetric emergencies such as hemorrhage or fetal distress.
