St. Vincent's Medical Center in Connecticut is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct labor and delivery care according to established policies and procedures.

The role requires a CT RN license, BLS, and graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred and experience in cardiac, critical care, or medical-surgical units is a plus. Shifts are 12 hours; on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have labor and delivery experience.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current Connecticut RN license.
• BLS certification.
• Experience in cardiac care, critical care, or medical-surgical units a plus.

Responsabilités

• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient discharge planning needs.
• Demonstrates ability to assess patients and identify health needs to provide individualized care.
• Delegates care to other nursing personnel to maximize staff performance.
• Participates in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds.
• Follows ANA standards and ethics in practice.
• Develops, implements and revises care plans.
• Participates in professional growth activities.
