Job summary

St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT, is seeking a registered nurse with labor and delivery experience to join our team. You will implement and monitor patient care plans, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and ensure safe discharge planning with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

Must have labor and delivery experience.
Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
Associate degree required, BSN preferred.
Current Connecticut RN license.
BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
Two years of Medical-Surgical/Critical Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
Assesses and coordinates discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
Provides individualized care addressing physical, psychosocial, cultural and age-related needs.
Participates in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds and contributes to outcomes.
