MountainView Hospital in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an RN for the Mother-Baby unit. You will communicate with physicians about patient condition changes, respond quickly to treatment changes, and perform general nursing duties with supervision.

Accurate charting and patient advocacy are essential parts of the role. The position requires a nursing degree, Nevada RN license, BLS, NRP within 3 months, STABLE within 6 months, and at least 1 year of labor and delivery experience.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent
Current license to practice as a registered Nurse in the State of Nevada
Current BLS required
NRP required within three (3) months of Hire/Transfer
ST.A.B.L.E. current certification must be obtained within 6 months of Hire/Transfer
Minimum of 1-year recent labor and delivery nursing experience in a comparable unit

Responsibilities

Communicate with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical condition
Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment
Act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure
Perform general nursing duties in all Maternal Child Health departments with adequate supervision
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts
Participate in performance improvement activities
Advocate for the patient as circumstances require
