Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Completion of a Surgical Technologist Program required.
• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist or must obtain certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Check supplies and equipment for the surgical procedure.
• Scrub in, don sterile gown and gloves.
• Gown and glove the surgeon and assistants.
• Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
• Assist in positioning, skin prep, and draping of patient.
• Pass instruments to the surgeon during surgery.
