Virtua Health in New Jersey is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and/or Physician. You will handle instruments, supplies and equipment, maintaining a sterile field and assisting during procedures to ensure patient safety and efficient workflow.

Responsibilities include scrubbing, preparing, and setting up for procedures, transporting patients as needed, and collecting specimens per policy.

Qualifications

• One year OR training or experience.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Training Program.
• BLS certification.
• Surgical Technologist Certification preferred.
• New Jersey CE requirement: 15 CEs per year.

Responsabilités

• Scrubs for, prepares, sets-up and assists during surgical procedures and provides support to nursing and ancillary departments by transporting and transferring patients to and between units when necessary.
• Prepares instruments and supplies for future procedures.
• Collects and handles specimens according to policy and procedures.
