Labor & Delivery Operating Room Summary

Under the direction of the Registered Nurse and/or Physician, the Surgical Technologist handles the instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.

Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required

• One year OR Training or Experience.

Required Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Training Program.

Training/Certifications/Licensure: BLS. Surgical Technologist Certification preferred Maintenance of New Jersey State required 15 CEs per year.

Hourly Rate: $28.63 - $44.54 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
