Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to support Labor & Delivery with sterile technique, instrument handling and perioperative care. The role includes scrub and circulator duties across a high-volume unit and requires compliance with asepsis standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved discipline-specific program or successful completion of a surgical technologist training program in the armed forces.
• Certification from NBSTSA CST or NCCT TS-C is required; exemption if military program graduate.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon before, during, and after procedures to maintain sterile field.
• Set up, perform, and clean up surgical procedures as circulator and scrub tech.
• Apply principles of asepsis and perform counts of sharps, sponges, and instruments.
• Support a variety of Labor & Delivery duties beyond OR activities.
