Job summary

UVMMC in Vermont seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support Labor & Delivery, ensuring sterile field integrity and intraoperative readiness. You will work with perioperative teams across preop, intraop, and postop care and precept new staff.

Requirements include active CST (TS-C) certification, BLS renewal, and a high school diploma; an associate degree is preferred. Position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates.

Qualifications

• Active CST certification (TS-C) required or equivalent.
• BLS certification renewed bi-annually or as required.
• High school diploma required; associates degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Open, turnover, and set up labor delivery ORs and patient rooms as needed.
• Safety checks of operating rooms at start and end of shift.
• Inventory, transport equipment, and stock labor delivery rooms and carts.
• Calibrate and check emergency equipment daily; precept required.
