Job summary

Covenant Health's Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to support Labor and Delivery operations, providing sterile technique and instrument readiness for surgical teams. This full-time role (72 hours per pay period) involves circulating and scrub duties, aseptic practice, proper counts, and safe patient positioning, under RN/MD supervision.

Qualifications

• Must hold current and active CST or TS-C certification.
• Certification must be a CST or TS-C recognized by NBSTSA or NCCT.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient care by assisting the surgeon before, during and after surgical procedures and maintaining a sterile field.
• Plans, sets up, performs and cleans up the surgical procedure as circulator and/or scrub tech with instrument knowledge.
• Maintains instrument and equipment integrity and ensures cost-effective use of supplies.
• Monitors sterile field, assists with counts, and ensures proper positioning and safety.
• Adheres to policies, completes annual education, and participates in quality improvement.
