Nashville General Hospital in Nashville, TN is seeking a full-time Certified Scrub Tech for the Labor and Delivery department. The Surgical Technologist provides scrub duties under the direction of a registered nurse and assists physicians during procedures.

This role includes preparing for routine or emergency surgical procedures, maintaining equipment and supplies, and performing related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (Equivalent) or Higher.
• Successful Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• NBSTSA certification as Surgical Technologist.
• Current BLS certification required.
• CPI training/completion within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub duties under the direction of a registered nurse and assists the physician during procedures.
• Prepares for routine or emergency surgical procedures and supports the surgical team.
• Maintains equipment and supplies for procedures and ensures sterility.
• Follows safety measures and maintains a safe operating environment.
• Keeps accurate counts of supplies and instruments used during cases.

Education
