Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis is seeking an Experienced RN for Labor & Birth/Labor & Delivery. You will provide comprehensive care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum stages, ensuring safe and patient-centered outcomes. Collaboration with OB physicians, midwives, and neonatal teams is essential.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, mentorship, and ongoing professional development within a mission-driven care environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN License in Missouri or compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Recent Labor & Delivery, Labor & Birth, Mother-Baby, Women’s Services, or LDRP experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care.
• Assess, monitor, and respond to maternal and fetal conditions.
• Interpret fetal monitoring and communicate findings to providers.
• Support vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, inductions, and high-risk pregnancies.
• Assist with neonatal stabilization and resuscitation when needed.
