Dinsmore & Shohl LLP seeks an employment associate in the Los Angeles, CA office. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of experience in employment law, with responsibilities including litigation defense and advising employers on compliance with state and federal employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and wage-hour issues.

The position requires California licensure, strong academics, and excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.

Dinsmore has an immediate opportunity available for an employment associate in the Los Angeles, CA office. Candidates must have two – five yearsof experience. Responsibilities include litigation defense and advising employers on compliance with state and federal employment laws and working on FMLA, ADA, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and violation of wage and hour law matters. Experience taking depositions, arguing motions, and preparing cases for trial is preferred. Qualified candidates can look forward to a practice that will include significant client contact and handling all aspects of complex employment cases for regional and national clients of all sizes.

A license to practice in California is required. All candidates should have a strong academic background, and possess excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.

The base salary range for this position is $190,000 – $220,000 and up to $45,000 + in bonus potential.
