Qualifications

• ACLS certification within 90 days and maintain current.
• NRP certification within 90 days and maintain current.
• Basic fetal monitoring within 60 days and maintain current.
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate within 12 months.
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certificate preferred.
• STABLE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice.
• Guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nurses while maintaining standards in the Birthplace.
• Respond quickly to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Ensure a safe environment for patients and visitors.
• Utilize chain of command to ensure well-being and appropriate care for newborns and mothers during antepartum and postpartum periods.

Seasonal Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery

Rate: $75

12-Week Seasonal Contract: Ends Mid-February 12-Hour Shifts: Nights 7:00 PM-7:00 AM

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Birthplace.
• Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
• Provides for a safe environment for patients and visitors.
• Utilizes the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care to newborns and mothers during the antepartum and postpartum periods.
