Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc. seeks an Associate Engineer to support the Engineering lab with test equipment, setups, and data acquisition.

The role involves documenting work, creating procedures, and building test fixtures while coordinating with engineering teams to meet test execution needs. Ideal candidates communicate effectively, maintain lab equipment per ISO 17025, and contribute to ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 12 years relevant experience or 15 years with High School Diploma and related field experience.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Proficiency with basic and advanced electrical and mechanical test equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support test equipment and setup for product testing per test procedures.
• Prepare data acquisition devices for recording measurements.
• Design, build, and document electrical & mechanical test fixturing for lab testing needs.
• Maintain test and lab equipment per calibration and ISO 17025 requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external engineering teams to support lab work.
• Respond promptly to lab support requests and drive toward resolution.
• Assist R&D testing issues through troubleshooting and improvements.
• Participate in cost reduction and equipment improvements.
