Generac is seeking an Engineering Technician I to perform electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests on current and new product designs under close supervision. You will document measurements, support 5S and audit activities, and prepare test reports to ensure test requirements are met.

Responsibilities include setting up test equipment, running prototypes and existing products, interpreting data, and assisting with manufacturing troubleshooting and database documentation.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma required.
• 3 Months Relevant Work Experience required.

Aufgaben

• Setup test equipment and products in proper sequence per testing procedures
• Perform tests on prototypes, existing, and competitor products for stated criteria involving mechanical, electrical, environmental, and electromechanical functions through ISO 17025 and Laboratory Scope of Operations
• Use various mechanical, electrical, and electronic measurement devices
• Accurately interpret and document scientific notation, temperature, pressure, and other measurements
• Assists in the assembly and fabrication of test equipment and prototype products per blueprint specifications
• Follow guidelines for bill of materials
• Support manufacturing through troubleshooting activities
• Maintain test-related documentation in, and support administration of, database environment
• Prepare formal and informal test reports
• Assist with the Generac Engineering Laboratory Audit and organization 5S programs
