Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking an Associate Engineer to support engineering lab test activities, setup equipment, and maintain instruments in accordance with ISO 17025.

You will design fixtures, document processes, and collaborate with engineering teams on test execution and equipment improvements. The role requires hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical test equipment, data acquisition systems, and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 15 Years relevant work experience, or 12 years of relevant experience and an Associate Degree in related field.
• Proficiency in proper use and application of various hand and power tools.
• Proficiency in use of basic and advanced electrical and mechanical test equipment.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Testing & Support: Support test equipment and setup for product testing per test procedures.
• Prepare the use of various data acquisition devices for recording mechanical, electrical, and environmental measurements.
• Design, build, implement, and document electrical & mechanical test fixturing to support lab testing needs.
• Maintain test and lab equipment for calibration, functionality, and operation in accordance with ISO 17025 and the Laboratory Scope of Operations.
• Work closely with internal and external engineering teams as needed to support lab work.
• Respond to and be pro-active about lab support requests in a timely manner, effectively, efficiently, and drive to resolution.
• Assist with Generac Engineering Laboratory Audit and organizational 5S programs.
• Update and develop policies and procedures supporting the continuous improvement of the Engineering Lab.
