Job summary

Clearway Pain Solutions is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support the lab team with specimen procurement, processing, and drug screen testing. You will label, accession into EMR, and prepare specimens for shipping and analysis.

You will maintain inventory, perform quality control, and ensure compliance with CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, and company policies while providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Medical lab technician certification required and maintained.
• Proficient with Internet and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong written and oral communication, customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules and maintain accuracy under pressure.
• Knowledge of healthcare field, medical terminology, and HIPAA rules.

Responsibilities

• Labels specimens accurately and distributes them to the appropriate personnel.
• Accession specimens into the EMR system per guidelines.
• Process specimens and prepare them for shipping and testing.
• Maintain specimen tracking in EMR for inventory purposes.
• Assist in lab supply inventory and equipment upkeep.
• Perform quality controls and ensure samples are suitable for testing.
• Adhere to CLIA, OSHA, and company policies and infection control rules.
