Job description

Our client, a multinational oil and gas company, is actively seeking a Laboratory Technician II to join their team at their facility in Annandale, NJ. This individual will support lab supervisors and chemists by performing routine and non-routine laboratory analysis and wet chemistry on product and in-process samples. This is a full-time, long-term contract with a leader in the oil and gas industry, offering competitive pay, benefits, and more.

Main Functions

1. Support and assist lab supervisors and chemists by performing laboratory analysis and wet chemistry on samples to support plant operations for quality assurance and control.
2. Perform calibration and maintenance of test equipment.
3. Prepare samples and ensure accurate data collection and record-keeping in accordance with standard operating procedures.
4. Utilize analytical instruments to address quality assurance and control issues.
5. Prepare chemical stock solutions and reagents, and set preparation standards.
6. Work under direction and support from supervisors.
7. Operate with moderate work direction, demonstrating skill and knowledge relevant to the role.

Skills and Qualifications

1. Polytechnic graduate with a background in Chemical, Process, or Technical Engineering.
2. Computer literate.
3. Preferably experienced in quality control systems.
