Fire Alarm Field Service Technician - Level II (FEL-A license)

Job Summary

As a technician, you will perform inspections, testing, and assist with installation of fire alarm and fire suppression systems, requiring a FEL-A license.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing protection for people, property, and the environment in all job aspects.
  • Scheduling service with customers.
  • Inspecting and testing fire alarm and suppression systems per instructions.
  • Recording results electronically.
  • Responding to emergencies.
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing system components.
  • Overseeing service activities with OPS personnel.
  • Reviewing inspection results with customers.
  • Training customers on system functionality.
  • Assisting with installation and commissioning under supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • FEL-A license is REQUIRED.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of experience with fire alarm and suppression systems.

Preferred qualifications include blueprint reading, troubleshooting skills, associate degree, NICET certification, and experience with specific manufacturers.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet.
  • Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Customer service mindset.

Work Environment:

  • Remote position with local site deployment.
  • Company vehicle, tools, and equipment provided.
