Pharmacy Technician (Specialty Outreach)

Pharmacy Technician II (State Licensed Pharmacy Technician - Specialty Pharmacy - Phone outreach to physician’s offices for refill requests)

Position Purpose:
Work with the Pharmacists to accurately prepare prescription orders in a timely manner

Interact with various departments to provide accurately dispensed prescriptions on a timely basis

Work under direct supervision of a pharmacist

Comply with safety, quality assurance, accreditation, legal, state, and federal regulatory requirements

Performs other duties as assigned

Complies with all policies and standards

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of Pharmacy Technician or medical office (i.e. pharmacy prior authorization / certification) experience. Familiarity with drugs commonly used to treat chronic/debilitating illnesses.

AcariaHealth State pharmacy technician license(s) relative to where the employee and assigned pharmacy are located (exception being NY where a pharmacy technician license is not required). License is required upon hire.

Working shift: Between the hours of 8am - 6pm (Central / CST)

Job Specific Details:

100% customer service-based pharmacy technician will be on the phones 90% of shift.

Calling medical doctor offices to request prescriptions and typing prescriptions.

Calling patients for outcomes of prescriptions.

Retail Specialty Pharmacy experience preferred

Knowledge of Specialty medications is preferred.

Comfortable being on the phone, data entry, positive attitude

Dose calculations

Computer savvy must be able to type at least 40wpm.

Comfortable working in a metric driven environment (productivity, quality and customer satisfaction etc.)

Pay Range: $19.04 - $32.35 per hour

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law , including full-time or part-time status.
