Qualifications

Job Description: Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II responsible for performing DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, and other duties in a mobile environment. The role involves advanced diagnostics, repair skills, and adherence to safety and organizational policies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections on various vehicles
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems
  • Manage parts inventory and documentation
  • Ensure safety checks and proper vehicle operation
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members
  • Use various tools and equipment, including diagnostic devices and safety gear

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience or equivalent
  • Own set of hand tools
  • ASE T8 certification within 18 months
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass DOT screening and physical
  • Minimum age 21

Preferred Certifications: ASE T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, 608/609
