Job summary

SGS SA is seeking a laboratory assistant to support preparation and analysis of samples in a regulated environment. You will follow SGS SOPs, handle basic instrumentation, and maintain records in a compliant lab setting.

The role requires a high school diploma and offers the opportunity to gain experience in analytical chemistry within a leading global testing, inspection, and certification company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• 1-2 years of years' relevant experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories is preferred.

Responsibilities

• After appropriate training independently prepare samples for analysis according to SGS' analytical SOPs using basic instrumentation specific to the department and analytical methodologies.
• Performs routine operation, maintenance, calibration of prep instruments/equipment
• Inputs and maintains technical information as needed to support the laboratory functions/operations.
• Maintains Laboratory Notebook where applicable.
• Must be compliant with SGS HSE policies and adhere to ISO 17025 or GLP Regulations.
• Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
• Performs other duties as required.
