Job summary

SGS is seeking an entry-level Lab Technician I at their Dayton, NJ laboratory. The technician will prepare samples accurately according to standardized procedures, ensuring all safety protocols are followed. Candidates need a high school diploma and up to 2 years' experience in a relevant field, alongside basic skills in math, reasoning, and computer usage. The expected compensation is $20/hour, complemented by health, wealth, and professional growth benefits.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories or prior experience working with hands.
• Ability to lift/carry/push and/or pull upwards of 25 lbs frequently.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare samples for analysis according to SGS’ analytical SOPs.
• Perform routine operation, maintenance, and calibration of prep instruments/equipment.
• Assist with validation and MDL studies.
• Maintain Laboratory Notebook where applicable.
