SGS in Dayton, NJ is hiring an entry-level Lab Technician I for the Extractions team. The role involves preparing samples accurately according to SGS SOPs, working independently or with a team to meet daily targets, and upholding safe lab practices.

The position requires a high school diploma, 0–2 years in analytical chemistry labs, English proficiency, and basic math/computer skills. Lifting up to 25 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 0–2 years of experience in Analytical Chemistry labs required.
• Associate degree in Chemistry or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of relevant lab experience preferred.
• English language proficiency required.
• Basic math, reasoning and computer skills required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis according to SOPs using department instruments.
• Perform routine operation, maintenance and calibration of prep instruments.
• May assist with validation and MDL studies.
• Input and maintain technical information to support lab operations.
• Maintain Laboratory Notebook where applicable.
• Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
