Vitalant is seeking a Lab Technician I for the dayshift at our Mather, CA facility. The role involves processing blood components, data entry, labeling, and maintaining strict quality and privacy standards in a busy lab environment.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED; no prior experience is needed. You must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs, with a schedule that includes flexible shifts and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Detail oriented with strong communication, organization and analytical skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and overtime when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate data records and documentation.
• Prepare blood components via centrifugation, separation, freezing, thawing, washing, storage, sterile docking, transformation and filtration.
• Ensure product quality, volume, appearance and time requirements.
• Conduct labeling for routine and special components and implement quarantine procedures.
