Vitalant is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support its life-saving mission by operating in the laboratory, handling component production, labeling, and data entry. The role emphasizes accuracy, adherence to timelines, and confidentiality across donor, patient, and employee data.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must possess basic keyboarding skills and the ability to handle and operate laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate data records and documentation.
• Prepare blood components through processes such as centrifugation, separation, freezing, thawing, washing, storage, sterile docking, transformation, and filtration.
• Ensure product quality, volume, appearance, and time requirements.
• Conduct labeling for routine and special components and implement quarantine procedures.
