Job summary

Vitalant is seeking a Laboratory Technician in Tempe, AZ, to support the organization’s life‑saving mission. You will operate within the laboratory, handling component production, labeling, and data entry while supporting quality and safety standards.

The role offers an hourly pay range of $18.27–$18.67 with rotating weekends and shift differentials. Training is provided, and a comprehensive benefits package is included.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• No prior experience required for this role.
• Maintain accurate data records and documentation.
• Prepare blood components through centrifugation, separation, freezing, thawing, washing, storage, sterile docking, transformation, and filtration.
• Ensure product quality, volume, appearance, and time requirements.
• Conduct labeling for routine and special components and implement quarantine procedures.

Hourly Pay: 18.27 - 18.67 DOE

Shift Hours: 5:00 pm - 1:30 am with Rotating Weekends, Days Off During the Week

Shift Differentials: 2nd Shift 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm 9% and 11:00 pm - 7:00 am 14%
Weekend Shift Differential: 8%
Training Schedule: Must be able to do either : 0630 am -2:30 pm (Tue- Sat) or (Sun - Thur)
3:00 pm - 11:30 pm 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm (Mon- Fri) for approximately 12 weeks
