Job summary

Vitalant is seeking a Laboratory Technician in Mather, CA. The role supports blood component production, labeling, and data entry to advance Vitalant’s life-saving mission. The position offers a structured schedule, weekend differential, and benefits as part of a comprehensive rewards package.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to stand for long periods, and comfort with lab equipment and confidential data handling. No prior experience is required, and overtime may be required.

• Must be detail oriented with strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
• Must maintain donor, patient and employee confidentiality.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts and overtime when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate data records and documentation.
• Prepare blood components through centrifugation, separation, freezing, thawing, washing, storage, sterile docking, transformation, and filtration.
• Ensure product quality, volume, appearance, and time requirements.
• Conduct labeling for routine and special components and implement quarantine procedures.
