Job summary

Cordant Health Solutions in Flagstaff, AZ seeks a Lab Technician to support Laboratory Operations. You will prepare sample batches, read CoC forms, and apply barcodes to ensure proper testing preparation.

The role requires a High School diploma, attention to detail, and ability to work independently within a team. Shift is 12PM–8:45PM, with benefits including health, vision, dental, and more.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in a laboratory or high-volume production environment preferred
• Ability to interpret and follow complex written instructions required
• Strong attention to detail required
• Data entry skills (alpha and numeric keyboarding) required
• Strong hand-eye coordination required
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, bend, and carry as needed

Responsibilities

• Perform routine operations including opening sample bags, creating accessions and batches, ordering proper test(s), and applying barcode labels
• Scan Chain of Custody (CoC) forms, ensuring proper orientation and clear, reproducible documents
• Verify proper aliquot volume; may be required to hand-pour aliquots using bulb pipettes
• Identify and separate samples requiring additional attention
• Enter client and donor information, noting any deficiencies after Team Lead sign-off
• Assist with transporting batches to other departments and placing or retrieving samples from freezer storage while maintaining proper chain of custody
• Follow all laboratory policies and procedures and adhere to health and safety standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
