Job summary

Cordant Health Solutions in Flagstaff, AZ is seeking a self-motivated Lab Technician to join our Laboratory Operations team. You will prepare batches of samples by receiving and sorting urine and oral fluid specimens at your workstation.

The role reads CoC forms, orders tests in the system, applies barcoded labels, and ensures samples are properly prepared for testing. Shift schedules vary and pay is $18.50 per hour with an additional $2.00/hour night differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in laboratory or high-volume production environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and data-entry accuracy.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Open sample bags and create accessions and batches.
• Order tests in the system and apply barcode labels.
• Scan CoC forms for proper orientation and documentation.
• Verify aliquot volumes; hand-pour aliquots if required.
• Enter client and donor information and note deficiencies after review.
• Transport batches to other departments and manage freezer storage as needed.
• Follow lab policies, safety standards, and maintain chain of custody.
