Job summary

Cordant Health Solutions is seeking a Full-Time Lab Technician to join Laboratory Operations in Indianapolis, IN. You will prepare batches of samples, read CoC forms, and order tests in the system, ensuring proper barcoding and chain of custody.

The role requires a high school diploma, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. Shift: M-F 10am–6:30pm, pay $16.50/hr with $2 shift differential for evening hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in laboratory or high-volume production environment preferred.
• Ability to read and follow complex written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare batches of samples by receiving and sorting urine and oral fluid specimens.
• Read and scan Chain of Custody (CoC) forms and order tests.
• Aliquot specimens into testing vials and apply barcodes.
• Verify aliquot volume and hand-pour aliquots if required.
• Enter client and donor information and maintain chain of custody.
• Transport batches to other departments and manage storage as needed.
• Follow laboratory policies, procedures, and safety standards.
